Water efficiency in public institutions

Scope

Public institutions are listed in the 21-month group. Educational institutions, dormitories and healthcare facilities are excluded from the general public-institution row and evaluated under their own capacity thresholds.

Plan the field implementation

Start with meters, use points and water-efficient fixture inventories. Submeter high-consumption blocks and distinguish landscaping from domestic consumption. Before purchasing, define compatibility with existing pipework, maintenance access, recording and acceptance requirements.

Certificate criteria

The blue certificate covers staffing, baseline assessment, targets, planning, training, efficient fixtures and information materials. A single green-certificate percentage does not apply automatically to every public building.
