Official application channel
Check the Ministry’s current instructions and submit through the Online Water Management System. An Atlas quotation enquiry is a commercial request and is not a certificate application to the Ministry.
Assessment periods
Initial Ministry assessment: 60 days. Rectification of notified deficiencies: 60 days from notification. Assessment of the completed submission: 60 days. Applications may be rejected if requirements are not met or deficiencies are not completed within the specified period. The Ministry sets certificate issuance, upgrade and renewal fees annually.
Validity and continuity
Certificates are valid for five years. Obligated holders apply for renewal three months before expiry. Article 9 provides 90 days for improvement in specified reporting/continuity failures; inadequate improvement can lead to cancellation. Changes affecting criteria must be notified within 60 days. Obligated holders whose certificate is cancelled must reapply within 90 days.
Reliable annual records
Keep meter identity, timestamp, unit, reading method, maintenance and replacement records together. Mark estimates and missing intervals clearly. Link annual results to the approved target, explain deviations and record corrective actions.
